The Role

The Dishwasher plays a vital role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the SKYE CHASE kitchen. Responsible for maintaining impeccable cleanliness and organization, the Dishwasher ensures all dishes, tools, cookware, and kitchen areas are kept in pristine condition. This role directly supports the culinary team, helping maintain the high standards expected of the winery dining experience.

 

What You'll Do

  • Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots and pans
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area, ensuring items are rotated and stored correctly.
  • Support the kitchen team by maintaining clean prep surfaces, tools, and equipment throughout service.
  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries when required.
  • Empty garbage and recycling areas as needed to keep the workspace safe and efficient.
  • Notify the Chef or Kitchen Manager of any equipment issues or supply shortages.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation procedures with consistent accuracy.
  • Help with basic prep tasks when assigned, supporting the kitchen's flow and readiness.
  • Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing duties.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and contribute actively to a clean, safe working environment through participation in the health and safety program.

Other Duties As Assigned

  • Take on additional appropriate tasks as required to support the overall operation of the kitchen and winery.

  • Knowledge of the wine industry is considered an asset.
  • An ability to think and respond quickly when service demands shift.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a hospitality, restaurant or faced-paced environment is an asset but not required.
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Comfort lifting up to 40lbs as needed.
  • Understanding of basic sanitation and safety practices (training can be provided).
  • Flexible availability, including evening, weekends and holidays.
  • Dependable, punctual, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
